GLENNS BAY ROAD WIDENING AND INTERCHANGE PROJECT
Monday – Friday: There will be a shoulder closure for utility relocation work on US 17 Bypass northbound from The Church of
the Resurrection north up to Sutter Drive on the right shoulder.
Monday-Friday:
There will be periodic traffic stops on US 17 Bypass in order to allow
Sumter Utilities to safely relocate Santee Cooper’s overhead power
lines across US 17. This work will start on the north end of the
project and work south. At each of the cut over points when traffic is
stopped it will be stopping north and southbound traffic. The South
Carolina Highway Patrol or the Horry County Police are scheduled to
assist in the stopping of the traffic at each of the cut over points as
well.
Tuesday (night)-Thursday (night): There will be a lane closure for storm drainpipe laying operations on Glenns Bay Road from
Caropines Drive to Evergreen Circle. This work will take place between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
CAROLINA BAYS PARKWAY PROJECT
Monday-Friday: There will be a right shoulder closure for the southbound lane on Peachtree Road for slope protection, weather
permitting. The shoulder closure will be 1.5-1.7 miles south of Dick Pond Road, no lanes will be blocked.
