Mesage from Neighbor to Neighbor

Neighbor to Neighbor, a program of GRACE Ministries,  has inspired in us the desire to help our fellow Neighbor who is home bound due to age, disability, and/or chronic illness in Horry and Georgetown Counties. To date, this program manages 180 volunteers and over 400 neighbor clients in our region, and is growing rapidly.
In the spirit of unselfish love, N2N uses innovative technology and best practices in connecting adults in need with qualified and trained volunteers who provide services, such as transportation to medical appointments and other life enhancing destinations, to promote and maintain independent living.
We do this by utilizing volunteers to help Neighbors within their local communities and neighborhoods. Volunteering to give someone just two rides a month can drastically improve the quality of life for a Neighbor who is unable to get to the grocery store or to a life sustaining medical appointment.
We have flexible volunteering opportunities  and provide supplemental medical, automobile, and volunteer liability insurance coverage at no cost to  drivers. Our volunteers are not only in the "drivers seat" during a transport but before they ever get behind the wheel. N2N volunteer drivers log in to our online portal and decided who they would like to take, when they would like to go, how far they are willing to drive, and how much time they are willing and able to give. Volunteering with Neighbor to Neighbor makes it possible for individuals who lead busy lives or have health concerns themselves, to make a noticeable difference in the life of someone else without a huge commitment or physically daunting tasks.

I would love the opportunity to speak with you more about the ways in which individuals, groups, or organizations can get involved.  Our main concern is to spread the word about who we are and what we do so that the individuals who need us can utilize our services-- and those who are able to volunteer can get involved so that we can continue to offer our services to them if they are ever in need themselves.

We hope that your holiday season is filled with hope, love, laughter, friends and family!
