Center For History Nearing Completion

GEORGETOWN S.C. — The future home of the Georgetown County Museum has been christened “The History Center.”
The building, at 120 Broad St. in Georgetown’s Historic District, will also be the home of the Georgetown County Historical Society and the Winyah Bay Heritage Festival.
Once the home of the county’s building and planning departments and the headquarters of the 911 dispatch service, the building began its transformation in the spring of 2012.
